The Seeds of Salvation Dance Ministry held its 1st dance recital at the First Baptist Church of Cherry Hill on Sunday, May 2, 2010. The theme was " We Strive Through Dance to Glorify God" Psalms 149:3. Dance Ministries from Payne Memorial A.M.E., Community Baptist Church of Cherry Hill,Timothy Baptist Church,Wilson Park Christian Community Church and Sacred Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church. The young ladies of First Baptist Church of Cherry Hill and their guests did an excellent job praising the Lord through dance.

The First Baptist Church of Cherry Hill held its first Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast on January 18, 2010. A sponsored event by the church Youth Ministry that focused on keeping sight of Dr. King’s dream, his legacy and what we need to do to make it become reality.

In the morning a short program was held followed by a delicious buffet prepared by the Culinary Ministry. After breakfast Dr. Walter G. Amprey gave the keynote address. Dr. Amprey, a product of the Baltimore City School System rose to become Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Baltimore City Public Schools in 1991. He was honored as Maryland Superintendent of the Year, 1994-95.

His talk primarily focused on the education of our youth. He gave suggestions to adults on youth development and he instructed the youth on goal achievement.

Food, Fellowship, Worship, Enlightenment! A good time was had by all. Please stay tune for information on next year’s celebration. See you there!

The Crossings Book Club based out of New York, New York offers today's most enlightening and encouraging Christian books. Pastor Small was nominated for the honor by congregation member Esther McPherson.

Esther wrote "There is never a dull moment for God as Pastor Small lives, eats and breathes his love for The Lord Jesus Christ. The light of God shines thru Pastor Smail each and every moment of the day. He is generous and unselfish enough to allow his support ministry to preach the Gospel. He gives everyone a chance. Mr. Cheatham was the keynote speaker at the 2nd Annual Men’s Summit Breakfast The theme of the breakfast was "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." In his word to the men he encouraged them to give back to their community and make themselves heard in the next election. He also ask for support of the NAACP.

The First Baptist Family was on hand for the re-dedication of the Robert C. Marshall Recreation Center. Mr. Marshall, father of First Lady Pam Small was a councilman and community activist.

The recreation center was initially dedicated in his name because of his advocacy for children. The newly renovated facility is now a learning for the community.
